21. Do you desire only what God gives, or do you love God for who He is? Do you desire God, HIMSELF? Do you love the Person and character of God? Augustine: "All that Thou givest will not profit me if Thou dost not give me Thyself."

Yes, I desire God for who He is.
No, I only desire the things that God gives.

22. Do you care about the spiritual needs of others? Are you merciful? Are you a peacemaker? Are you gentle? Are you compassionate? Are you kind? Are you loving? (1 John 3:17, 4:7-8, 20; Matt 5:5,7,9)

23. Consider and respond to the following:

A. Is it possible for someone to assume that he/she is a Christian and yet be wrong. (Matt. 7:22; 25:1-13; Luke 6:49, Titus 1:16; 2 Tim. 3:5; Rev. 3:17)

Yes
No

C. What really matters most of all is what God, who searches my inmost heart, thinks of me. I should ask myself: Does God see His own saving work in my life? Does He see the blood of His Son on my heart? Am I built upon the Rock, Christ Jesus? (Jer. 17:10; Ps. 139:23; Matt. 7:24; Luke 6:48)

I agree.
I disagree.

24. “…With respect to those, who are members of the Church, they may be known by the marks of Christians: namely, by faith; and when they have received Jesus Christ the only Savior, they avoid sin, follow after righteousness, love the true God and their neighbor, neither turn aside to the right or left, and crucify the flesh with the works thereof. But this is not to be understood, as if there did not remain in them great infirmities; but they fight against them through the Spirit, all the days of their life, continually taking their refuge in the blood, death, passion and obedience of our Lord Jesus Christ, ‘in whom they have remission of sins, through faith in Him.” (Article 29 of the Belgic Confession of Faith)

I have read and I fully agree with the above article.

25. The reality of salvation is best known at the present. Do you now, in the present, experience times of personal communion with God through Christ? Do you desire now to be holy? Can you say in truth: “I hate sin”? Does sin grieve you? Do you long to know more and see more of Christ? Do you at the present see beauty in Christ and His sacrifice for sin? Do you in the present still flee to Jesus, cling to Jesus, live out of Jesus?

In honesty before God, I can say YES to the questions in the above paragraph.

I cannot honestly answer yes to all of the questions in the above paragraph.

Advice to Seekers

Do not seek to have a dead form of godliness, but seek for Jesus Christ Himself. Outside of Him there is no life but in Him there is salvation, joy, and eternal life. Seek Him today! Seek Him and your soul will live. And when you find Him you will say with the queen of Sheba: “Howbeit I believed not their words, until I came, and mine eyes had seen [Thee]: and, behold, the one half of the greatness of thy wisdom was not told me: for thou exceedest the fame that I heard,” (2 Chron. 9:6). No one can persuade you of the beauty of Christ. You must know it by experience. Seek to know Him. Never rest until you find your rest in Him—oh what blessed rest! Let no one turn you aside from seeking Him. You have His own promise to encourage you in the way: “Those that seek Me early, shall find Me.” (Pro. 8:17; Jer. 29:13). True seekers cannot rest in their seeking. They must have Jesus. They cry out to God from the heart, “Give me Jesus, else I die.” A thousand discouragements may stand in their way, but they cannot be persuaded to give up seeking Him. And why? Because God in love is drawing them and He also will give seekers of Jesus their desire in His own time.
